Job Description
Job Title: Air Hygiene / Fire Damper Engineer
Location: Walsall, West Midlands
Salary/Benefits: £28k – £37k + Training & Benefits
Due to recently winning new contracts in the Midlands region, our client is seeking a reliable Air Hygiene / Fire Damper Engineer to join their growing outfit. You will be servicing a diverse portfolio of commercial, local authority and food outlet premises. Ideally, you will hold industry-relevant qualifications, and you must be knowledgeable of the TR19 and BS9999 guidelines. It would be advantageous to have experience of completing remedial duties on Fire Dampers, however, full training can be provided. For the successful candidate, they are offering attractive salaries and packages, including: company vehicle and overtime.

Experience / Qualifications:
– Proven experience working as an Air Hygiene / Fire Damper Engineer
– Will ideally hold industry-relevant qualifications, i.e. Fire Damper Testing, BESA Air Hygiene
– Good working knowledge of TR19 and BS9999 guidelines
– Flexible to travel as per client requirements
– Good literacy and numeracy skills
– Confident using IT software
The Role:
– Cleans on ventilation, ductwork, kitchen extracts and canopies
– Fire damper logging
– Testing of fire dampers
– Remedial works, including: TEK screw, collar and link changes
– Fitting access doors
– Identifying faults and making recommendations for works
– Taking pre and post work photographs
– Producing detailed technical reports
– Adhering to set personal targets and project scopes
