Job Description
Job Title: Asbestos Bulk Analyst
Location: Gravesend, Kent
Salary/Benefits: £26k – £31k + Training & Benefits
Our client is a highly respected Asbestos consultancy, with a busy presence in the South East of England. They are seeking a detail-oriented Asbestos Bulk Analyst to join their growing laboratory. Applicants must be able to conduct analysis using various methods, and will be confident in determining the type of fibres in samples. The ideal candidate will be able to adhere to set company targets and will be comfortable managing their own workload. Our client is offering competitive basic salaries, in addition to comprehensive benefits packages.

Experience / Qualifications:
– Experience working as an Asbestos Bulk Analyst within a UKAS accredited company
– Must hold the BOHS P401 as a minimum
– Strong technical knowledge
– Excellent organisational skills
– Able to work both independently and within teams
– Strong IT, literacy and numeracy skill level
The Role:
– Conducting analysis on bulk samples, to identify the presence and type of asbestos fibre present
– Using stereo-microscopy and PLM methods
– Correctly logging and storing samples
– Updating internal databases with testing results
– Creating and issuing certificates for clients
– Performing quality assurance checks
– Working to agreed deadlines
– Calibrating and maintaining laboratory equipment
