Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst
Location: Reading, South East
Salary / Benefits £19k – £26k +Training +Benefits
Level of Experience: Trainee Asbestos Lab Analyst through to Lead Asbestos Lab Analyst
Profile: Our client Is well established within the Asbestos and environmental industry providing a high quality and professional service to their mixed portfolio of clients throughout the UK. Due to increases in workloads, they are low looking to take on a switched on and motivated Asbestos Lab Analyst based in the reading area, the ideal candidate will hold the P401 qualification and have extensive experience working in a laboratory setting within the asbestos industry, undertaking analysis of asbestos materials, and preparing asbestos bulk samples.
Applications will be considered from: Slough, West London, Windsor, Basingstoke, Crawley, Epsom, Farnborough, Farnham, Guildford, Woking.

Experience & Qualifications:
” Will ideally hod the P401 qualification and hold extensive experience working within a laboratory in an asbestos environment.
” Will have working knowledge of relevant Health and Safety legislation.
” Must have good organisational skills.
” Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
” Proficient in using Microsoft office.
The Role:
” Carrying out analysis of asbestos materials and entering the results onto database, ensuring the data is accurate and in line with UKAS standards.
” Receiving and preparing asbestos bulk samples.
” Maintaining and developing UKAS accreditation systems.
” Maintaining and assisting with quality control and data in an appropriate and accurate way and complying with the company’s quality systems.
” Ensuring that all analytical equipment used are kept clean and up to date.
” Liaising with clients and managers as and when required – dealing with issues effectively and appropriately.
” Assisting and maintaining the company’s the Quality Control system, etc.
” Solving problems pertaining to laboratory tests and making sure that the samples are stored appropriately or returned to the right place.
” Complying with the Health & Safety procedures.
” Getting involved with any other laboratory duties as and when required.
