Job Title: Asbestos Surveyor / Consultant
Location: Ipswich, Suffolk
Salary/Benefits: £26k – £42k + Training & Benefits

Our client is a respected Asbestos Consultancy, who holds UKAS accreditation and a growing client base. Due to recently winning new contracts, they are recruiting for a reliable and switched-on Asbestos Surveyor / Consultant to cover contracts in the South East and East Anglia. Applicants will be expected to hit the ground running and will be able to demonstrate strong technical knowledge. The successful candidate can expect excellent basic salaries, in addition to the opportunity to train into the analytical and usual package benefits.

You will be travelling across: Ipswich, Felixstowe, Sudbury, Hadleigh, Stowmarket, Colchester, Clacton-on-Sea, Braintree, Chelmsford, Bishop’s Stortford, Saffron Walden, Cambridge, Newmarket, Bury St Edmunds, Diss, Ely, Thetford, March, Wisbech, Norwich, Wymondham, Dereham, Lowestoft, Great Yarmouth, Aylesham, Fakenham, King’s Lynn, Spalding, Huntingdon.

Experience / Qualifications:
– Must hold the BOHS P402 or RSPH equivalent
– Hands-on experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor / Consultant
– Good working knowledge of HSG 264 and UKAS guidelines
– Strong literacy, numeracy and IT skills
– Experience working across a range of contracts (e.g. domestic, commercial and local authority)
– Excellent communication skills

The Role:
– Conducting the full range of management, refurbishment, demolition and re-inspection asbestos surveys
– Obtaining ACM samples from site and delivering to the lab
– Producing site-specific survey reports
– Creating detailed schematic drawings / floorplans
– Maintaining strong working relationships with clients
– Adhering to safety guidelines
– Travelling in line with company needs
