Job Description
Our client is well-regarded water treatment company with a large portfolio of clients throughout the UK. They are actively recruiting a hardworking and committed Water Treatment Engineer/Plumber based in and around Derby area. The successful candidate will be a qualified level 2/3 remedial plumber and will have in experience in carrying out routine water treatment duties on various site types in line with the ACOP L8 regulations. Applications will be considered from Nottingham, Leicester, Loughborough, and the surrounding areas.
Experience:
The successful applicant must have extensive experience working as a Water Treatment Engineer within the water treatment industry.
Must have hands on experience carrying out remedial plumbing to a mixed portfolio of sites.
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing.
Ideally have experience/knowledge of Legionella control.
Will be fully conversant with Health & Safety procedures/legislation and the water treatment industry.
Ideally will come from a good chemical, technical and educational background.
Must have good IT skills and be adept in the use of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Duties Will Entail:
Undertaking all aspects of Plumbing installations/updates and water hygiene/treatment works for all types of water systems.
Complete accurate service reports.
Compliant with relevant legislation and Health and Safety standards.
Ensuring all customers always receive the best service.
Work is being completed at the highest standards.
Carrying out cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold-water systems, boilers, cooling towers, shower heads and flushing.
Descaling and disinfection and tank cleans and dosing.
Carrying out temperature monitoring, conducting routine sampling, analysing water systems, and interpreting the results.
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on all dosing equipment as and when required.
Carrying out routine remedial plumbing duties.
Completing worksheets for work carried out appropriately.
The successful post-holder will be versatile, flexible, have good work ethic and at the same time can carry out the work effectively and within timeline and must be flexible with regards to travelling.
